THE CURRENT PROCESS:

The first stage of the partner Visa process is involves the Applicant putting in a form 47SP with supporting documents and then the Partner/Sponsor applying by putting in a form 40Sp with supporting documents.

CHANGES TO THE PARTNER VISA PROCESS:

With Proposed changes to the partner visa process being passed in parliament in Nov 2018, the process is expected to change significantly to onshore partner visa applications.

It is expected the sponsor application will have to be done first and that will need to be approved prior to do the actual visa application, this will mean a lot of people with limited time on Temporary visa to Australia will not be able to apply on shore.

Off shore applications can take an additional 12 to 13 months to the process and have limited appeal right, and cost increases of about $1218.90

These changes have occured to some Family visa applications but as yet they have not been updated in the partner Visa Process

PARTNER VISA PROCESS:

• Monitor your Health Status Weekly
• Monitor any messages from the DOHA weekly
• Monitor the Documents list weekly
• Produce a summary of this weekly and send to you
• Update your file every 2 months with new relevant information
• Update your file for any changes you make
• Provide responses to and s56 requests from the DOHA
• Inform you on the DOHA decision of your application

For the Sc 801 application:

 

• Collate all your updated personal details including all your family
• Collate all the documents required
• Produce forms to support your application
• Produce stat dec to support your application
• Once all the information is provided we produce a s54 Submission to link all your information to the relevant law

 

Once the Sc 801 application is Lodged

 

• Monitor your VEVO Status weekly
• Monitor your Health Status Weekly
• Monitor any messages from the DOHA weekly
• Monitor the Documents list weekly
• Produce a summary of this weekly and send to you
• Update your file every 2 months with new relevant information
• Update your file for any changes you make
• Provide responses to and s56 requests from the DOHA
• Inform you on the DOHA decision of your application
• Inform you of the time line to apply for citizenship
