SC 188 Business Innovation Stream

  1. Temporary Visa (2 steps to Permanent)
  2. Score 65 to 80 on Points Test (depends on the state)
  3. Must be Nominated by State Government
  4. $200 to $600K to invest depending on the State
  5. Assets to the value of $800K
  6. Have $200k to settlement in state of Nomination
  7. Must have BackGround in Business Management
  8. Age, must be under 55 years of Age
  9. English, min is IELTS 4.5
  10. Apply for a SC 888 Permanent visa after 2 years on the Sc 188

Each state has different requirements for how much you need to invest and what you can invest in, for example in Victoria you can invest in all but small scale property development and in Queensland you can not invest in any property for your investment.

Your background in Business Management must involve a company with a turnover of $500,000 AUD for 3 years.

You must have assets to the value of $800,000 AUD for the last 2 years and be able to prove they have been legally acquired.

You cannot have had an Australian Visa Cancelled or Refused, and you can not have been involded in any unacceptable business activities, (Tax, courts, government)

SC 188 Investor Stream

  1. Temporary Visa (2 steps to Permanent)

SC 188 Significant Investor Stream

  1. Temporary Visa (2 steps to Permanent)
  2. Must be Nominated by State Government
  3. $5.0m to invest depending on the State (very specific Investments only)
  4. Assets to the value of $2.25m
  5. Have $200k to settlement in state of Nomination
  6. Must have BackGround in Business Management
  7. Age, No Age Limit
  8. English, min is IELTS 4.5
  9. Apply for a SC 888 Permanent visa after applying for the Sc 188

You need to have $5m  AUD for your investment.

Invest in Equity funds and Managed funds, NO direct investment in Property and there are restrictions on Property Investment via Managed Funds

You must have a Business Management Background and be able to prove your assets have been legally aquired.

You cannot have had an Australian Visa Cancelled or Refused, and you can not have been involded in any unacceptable business activities, (Tax, courts, government)

SC 188 Premium Investor “Stream

  1. Temporary Visa (2 steps to Permanent)
  2. Must be Nominated by State Government, approved by Aus Trade
  3. $15.0m to invest depending on the State (very specific Investments only)
  4. Assets to the value of $15m
  5. Do Not have to Live in the State of Investment/Nomination
  6. Must have BackGround in Business Management
  7. Age, No Age Limit
  8. English, min is IELTS 4.5
  9. Apply for a SC 888 Permanent visa after 1 year on the Sc 188

You need to have $15m  AUD for your investment.

You will need Assets to the Value of  $15M AUD that you can prove have been legally aquired.

Ther are limits on what you can invest in you are not allowed any direct investmetn in Residential Property and only 105 investment in Residential Property in any Fund Assets

You cannot have had an Australian Visa Cancelled or Refused, and you can not have been involded in any unacceptable business activities, (Tax, courts, government)

SC 188 Entrepreneur Stream

  1. Temporary Visa (2 steps to Permanent)
  2. Must be Nominated by State Government
  3. Secured $200k from a third Party (very specific Investments only)
  4. Assets to the value of $2.25m
  5. Have $200k to settlement in state of Nomination
  6. Must have BackGround in Business Management
  7. Age, must be under 55 years of Age
  8. English, min is IELTS 6.0
  9. Apply for a SC 888 Permanent visa after applying for the Sc 188

You must have an Entrepreneurial Activity related to an innovative idea for example, New idea, Improved product, Improved Service, Commercialisation of a product.

You cannot invest in Residential Real Estate, Labour Hire or the Purchase of an existing business or Franchise.

You cannot have had an Australian Visa Cancelled or Refused, and you can not have been involded in any unacceptable business activities, (Tax, courts, government)

SC 132 Permanent Business Visa

  1. Permanent Visa 
  2. Must be Nominated by State Government
  3. $2.0m to invest depending on the State
  4. Assets to the value of $1.5m
  5. Have Business Assets to the value of $400K
  6. Have Business with turnover of $400K
  7. Have $200k to settlement in state of Nomination
  8. Must have BackGround in Business Management
  9. Age, must be under 55 years of Age
  10. English, min is IELTS 4.5
  11. The business will be monitored for 2 years

This is the only One Step Visa straight to a Permanent visa, but it has more conditions you have to meet.

You must have $2m AUD to invest legally acquired

You can invest in a range of Business, excluding small scale property Development and some identified business and Export Business.

If you are investing in Property you must have $2m AUD to invest on top of the value of the land.

You will need 3years Experience in property Development if you are investing in property and if you are investing in a Business you will need 3 years of experience Managing a Business with a turn over of $3m AUD

You cannot have had an Australian Visa Cancelled or Refused, and you can not have been involded in any unacceptable business activities, (Tax, courts, government)

Sc 888 Permanent Visa

  1. Permanent Visa 
  2. Must hold a SC 188 for a nominated time
  3. Show ongoing Business Involvement
  4. Confirm that State Nomination is still on going
  5. Have funds to Support the Visa
  6. Have lived in Australia/Nomination State if required for your Sc 188 visa
